What’s happening in the world of today that’s relevant to Collaborative Solution-Discovery?

6-28-19: The Democratic Presidential Debates

The field of two dozen Democratic presidential candidates is arguing over who has the better approach to dealing with the Climate Crisis.  What a tragedy!.  There should be no argument.  All of the proposed remedies have at least some merit, and all fall short of being the total solution.  The candidate who recognizes this can take a strong and responsible position.  All the various proposed approaches should find a place on a menu of potential solution elements, to be sorted out using the methodology of Collaborative Solution-Discovery.  The candidate who does that gets the vote of The Muddle Buster.

The same is true of other issues that the candidates are using in their attempt to break out of the pack.  It is not a matter of either/or.  Give all the suggestions a shot at contributing, and if that menu of options has gaps, fill them.  Agree on criteria that define a good outcome, and agree on evaluation methods that select the best ideas against those criteria.  Nominate the candidates for president and vice-president who best understand this process and are most capable of managing it to success.
